Lloyd Center Program
Assonet Bay Shores Association is hosting theEnvironmental Education Program Summer 2017 conducted by Lloyd Center.
A great way to gain appreciation of the resource and have fun! As part of the non-profit criteria, the ASBA sponsors an educational community outreach targeting kids ages 6-11 years.
We sponsor four educational programs to provide hands-on activities to explore the environment, specifically the water's edge of Assonet Bay. The program is conducted by Lloyd Center of Dartmouth staff and is designed for children ages 6 to 11 years.

Environmental Education Program Summer 2017
There will be four 90 minute sessions in Friday in July and August from 10:30 to 12 noon at the association beach located at 37 Cliff Drive, Assonet.
Space is limited and pre-registration and payment is required.

Friday 7 July - Totally Turtles
What is a Diamondback Terrapin? Where do these reptiles live and how are they different from other turtles? Learn more about the only brackish water turtle in the area and how close they may be right now! Our turtles are unique!
Friday 14 July - Things with Wings
Birds, dragonflies, bats and bees! Join us as we discover the world of winged creatures. Not just insects, but even bats, birds and even mammals can fly! We'll go looking for anything that flies! Make a flying craft to take home!
Friday 21 July - Bubble Bash
Come get wet with soapy suds! We'll have a bubble bash and discover tools for making bubbles from tiny to huge - we'll even experiment to find best soap for the best bubble! We'll even design our own bubble blowers to take home!
Friday 28 July - Salt Marsh Safari
What lives in a salt marsh? Strap on your safari hat and old sneakers (to get wet and muddy) and discover plants and animals that call the salt march home!
