Assonet Bay Shores Association

About Us

Geography

Assonet Bay Shores, a former summer community, is a peninsula formed by Assonet Bay, Payne Cove, and Shepherd's Cove.

History

It was first settled early in Assonet's history, with this major development following in the early 1960s. Across Shepherd's Cove is an abundance of family homes, proving that the river has found new life as a beautiful backdrop for rural life.

Information

The Assonet Bay Shore Association is a not-for-profit 501C3 organization centered at the beach property located on Cliff Drive, Assonet. Membership is open to all residents of the Bay Shores. We aim to maintain the property for all to enjoy access to Assonet Bay, the beach and the beautiful views of the Assonet River. The water is tidal and brackish making it the ideal location for wildlife and recreation.

Our Community

The wonder of the beach is not limited to the summer. Whether it’s sandcastles or sledding, bird watching or foliage viewing, moonbeams or shooting stars -there’s lots of advantages being a member year-round. As an association, your participation is key to preserving and protecting this gem.
