Special Programs at the Beach: Taught by Lloyd Center of Dartmouth instructors. Join us for a fun and educational beach experience! Learn about our local environment and help preserve it. Participate in our stewardship efforts and check out our diamondback turtle project!

Observe what organisms live in the sand and water at our local salt marsh and beach. Have a great time searching for sea creatures with pails and nets in Assonet Bay. Learn
how to identify some of our local crab species. Be prepared to get wet and have fun!

Are snakes really slippery? Are turtles really slow? Is it true frogs breathe through their skin? Learn the differences between reptiles and amphibians, and what makes each one special. Meet some of Lloyd Center’s herp residents and make your own craft to take
home.

Knock, knock. Who’s there? Mollusk. Mollusk who? You mollusk come learn about me! Join us on this seashell search to learn about these unique organisms that have shells as
homes. We’ll meet some local mollusks then search the marsh and water’s edge to see who is in town.
Friday, August 2nd
Fish are fabulous! Discover the underwater world of these amazing creatures. We’ll grab
nets to discover what types of fish live around Assonet Bay Shores. Be prepared to get wet and have fun!
